Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of essaybuff.com and any editing, refinement, or writing services provided by EssayBuff (“EssayBuff,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By placing an order or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
1. Our Services
EssayBuff provides content refinement, editing, and writing services, including AI Content Refinement, SEO Blog Optimization, Website Copy Editing, Resume & CV Enhancement, Cover Letter Writing, LinkedIn Profile Optimization, and Proofreading & Editing (each a “Service”). Services are intended for professional, business, marketing, and career-related content — not for producing academic coursework to be submitted as a student’s own original work.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to place an order. You are responsible for providing accurate contact and order information, and for keeping any account credentials confidential.
3. Placing an Order
Orders are placed through our Order Wizard, where you select a Service, upload or describe your content, choose a delivery speed, and review an estimated price based on word count. Your order is confirmed once payment is received. We may decline or cancel an order at our discretion, for example if the requested content is unlawful, infringing, or otherwise violates these Terms — in which case any payment received will be refunded.
4. Pricing and Payment
- Pricing is calculated per word and varies by Service, delivery speed (Standard, Express, or Rush), and any add-ons selected during checkout.
- Payment is processed securely through PayPal. Your order is confirmed and scheduled once payment is successfully completed.
- Quoted prices are estimates based on the word count provided at checkout; significant differences between the estimated and actual word count may require a revised quote before work continues.
5. Delivery and Revisions
- Standard — 3–5 day turnaround, 1 revision round included.
- Express — 24–48 hour turnaround, 2 revision rounds included.
- Rush — same-day turnaround, priority senior editor, unlimited minor edits.
- Revision requests should be submitted within 7 days of delivery and must relate to the original brief; requests that materially expand the original scope may be quoted as a new order.
- Delivery windows begin once we have received all materials needed to complete your order (e.g., your uploaded draft or word count details).
6. Cancellations and Refunds
- Orders cancelled before an editor has begun work are eligible for a full refund.
- Orders cancelled after work has begun may be eligible for a partial refund, reflecting work already completed.
- If delivered work does not reasonably reflect the brief you provided, contact us within 7 days of delivery so we can arrange a revision or, where appropriate, a refund.

7. Your Content and Confidentiality
You retain ownership of any original material you upload or provide to us. We treat drafts, briefs, and instructions you share as confidential, and access is limited to the editor(s) assigned to your order and the staff needed to manage it. You are responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights to submit any content you provide, and for the accuracy of information used in your order.
8. Ownership of Delivered Work
Upon full payment, ownership of the final, delivered content transfers to you, and you are free to use, publish, and modify it as you see fit. EssayBuff retains no ownership claim over completed deliverables once payment is received in full, but may retain a copy for record-keeping and quality-assurance purposes.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to submit content requests that are unlawful, defamatory, fraudulent, infringing, or intended to deceive — including content designed to misrepresent authorship where such representation would violate a third party’s policies (for example, submitting ghostwritten work as original academic coursework). We reserve the right to decline or terminate any order that violates this section.
10. Disclaimers
Our Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. While we aim for high-quality, accurate, and effective content, we do not guarantee specific outcomes, such as search engine rankings, hiring decisions, or conversion rates, as these depend on factors outside our control. The free Readability Checker tool is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute professional editing.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, EssayBuff’s total liability arising from any order or use of the Site is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant order. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or lost opportunities, arising from your use of our Services.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold EssayBuff harmless from claims, damages, or expenses arising from your breach of these Terms or from content you provide that infringes the rights of a third party.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to our Services if these Terms are violated. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including ownership, confidentiality, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — will continue to apply.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in EssayBuff’s place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where local consumer-protection law requires otherwise.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site or Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
